Sarah, Noah, Maggie, and Eli Steelman injured in Phelps County crash

At approximately 6 pm on Saturday, June 2, Sarah, Noah, Maggie, and Eli Steelman became involved in a traffic accident on I-44 in Phelps County. The accident began when a tractor operated by Benjamin Sfarcioc struck the Steelman’s minivan, forcing it off the road and into a nearby utility pole. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Ms. Steelman and her three children all suffered minor injuries and had to be trasnported to the Phelps County Regional Medical Center for further observation and treatment. Mr. Sfarcioc was not injured, and he was released at the scene. All parties were wearing safety belts at the time of the incident.

A traffic accident, especially one involving a large commercial vehicle and several minor children, can be a disturbing and deeply traumatic experience. We at the law offices of Kevin J. Roach wish all parties a swift and thorough recovery.

The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a robust system of personal injury law meant to protect persons who are injured through another party’s negligence. Here, Mr. Sfarcioc is likely at fault and  the claimants will be entitled to payment for any lost wages, pain and suffering, property damage, and medical bills incurred as a result of the accident.
