Newton County, Missouri (December 19, 2017) – A Sunday morning two-vehicle crash on Route V in Newton County left a Joplin woman injured, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 11:20 a.m. Sunday, December 17, on Route V, just west of Diamond City.

Troopers said a vehicle driven westbound on Route V by Curtis L. Channel, 19, of Granby, crashed into the back of a vehicle driven by Sally A. Owuor, 21, of Joplin.

The impact of the crash pushed Owuor’s vehicle off the roadway and overturned.

Owuor suffered minor injuries and was transported to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.
