Jefferson County, Missouri (February 7, 2018) – A 47-year-old woman was taken to a hospital after being involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning in Jefferson County, according to MSHP.

Robyn I. Helferstay of High Ridge was hurt in the crash that took place at about 6:45 a.m. on Old Highway 21 north of West Rock Creek Road.

MSHP said Helferstay was pulling out of a gas station parking lot onto Old Highway 21 when she entered into the path of a southbound 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer, causing the front of the tractor-trailer to collide with the front left of her 2009 Volkswagen Eos.

Helferstay was transported by Big River Ambulance District to St. Anthony’s Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The tractor-trailer was being driven by Marcus F. Danner, 26, of Hazelwood, who was not injured in the crash.

Helferstay’s car was totaled.
