Robert Rivet and Joseph Rooney Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-70 in St. Charles County
St. Charles County, Missouri (March 2, 2018) – Two drivers were hurt in crash involving five vehicles on Thursday morning in St. Charles County, the MSHP said.
The wreck occurred at about 7:52 a.m. Thursday, March 1 on eastbound Interstate 70, west of Lake St. Louis Boulevard.
Vehicles were slowing down for traffic ahead when a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Joseph H. Rooney, 73, of Roy, rear-ended a Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Timothy B. Dugan, 43, also of Troy. The impact caused the Cruz to hit the back of a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Michael T. Patton, 48, of Wentzville.
Robert J. Rivet, 59, of Wright City, was driving a Ford Expedition behind the Malibu and as he attempted to slow down, he was rear-ended by a Chevrolet 1500, driven by Kyle S. O’Donnell, 31, of Wright City.
Rivet and Rooney suffered minor injuries and were taken to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis.
No one else was hurt.
