Richard Donnelly Injured in Boone County Car Accident on MO-763
Boone County, Missouri (February 14, 2018) – A Columbia man was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in Boone County, MSHP reported.
The incident happened at around 7:50 a.m. on Missouri 763, just south of Boone Industrial Boulevard.
Troopers said Elmer H. Hackett, 84, of Columbia, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on MO-763 when he attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Richard T. Donnelly, 24, also of Columbia.
Donnelly suffered moderate injuries and was taken to University Hospital.
Hackett was not hurt.
Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts.
