St. Charles County, Missouri (March 4, 2018) – An O’Fallon woman was hurt when a vehicle struck the rear of her car while in congested traffic in St. Charles County on Friday evening.

Troopers said 49-year-old Rhonda L. Powelson of O’Fallon was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle westbound on I-70 when she stepped on the brakes due to rush hour traffic ahead and was rear-ended by a 2011 Chevrolet Impala that was traveling behind her in close proximity.

The other driver, 20-year-old Brendan R. Colbert of Wentzville, was not hurt.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene with minor damage.
