Patrick Hinkebein Injured in Jefferson County Car Accident on Missouri 30

Jefferson County, Missouri (March 3, 2018) – A St. Louis man was injured in a Friday morning car collision on Missouri 30 in Jefferson County, according to MSHP.

The crash occurred at around 7:10 a.m. Friday, March 2, east of West Outer Road.

Patrick J. Hinkebein, 24, of St. Louis was reportedly driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma westbound on MO-30 when he changed lanes from Lane 1 to Lane 2.

Jacob D. Markmueller, 24, of High Ridge, was also westbound in Lane 1 of MO-30 and as he tried to move to Lane 2, his 2013 Chevrolet Malibu struck the back of the Tacoma and caused it to overturn. The Tacoma traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway and then rolled over.

The Malibu veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence, post and slammed into a tree.

Hinkebein was wearing a safety belt and suffered minor injuries.  He was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center.

Markmueller was not wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt.

Both vehicles were taken from the scene with total damage.
