Jefferson City, Missouri (December 15, 2017) – Three people were injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle collision in Jefferson City, the Jefferson City Police Department reported.

Police officers identified two of the three victims as Patricia Sipes and Joyce Brockes.

The accident happened at around 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 12 at the intersection of Missouri Boulevard and South Ten Mile Drive.

Troopers said Michael Christian was driving a van and was turning left onto Missouri Boulevard when he crossed the path of an oncoming pickup truck driven by Richard Bainer, which then struck the van.

Three passengers in the van, including Sipes and Brockes, sustained injuries. Sipes and Brockes were taken to a hospital by an ambulance.

Both eastbound lanes at the intersection were closed down as emergency crews worked on the scene. One westbound lane was also closed down.
