Patricia Shipley, 72, Injured in 2-Car Crash on Highway 63 in Boone County

Boone County, Missouri (December 22, 2017)-A Unionville woman was hospitalized following a collision involving a sports utility vehicle in Boone County Thursday afternoon, according to Highway Patrol report.

The crash happened on Thursday, December 21, on U.S. 63 in Boone County.

The Highway Patrol report stated that Patricia Shipley, 72, was driving on U. S. 63, and 70-year-old Janet Warren of Lincoln, Nebraska has slowed down for a stop sign on Missouri 124 west at the intersection with U. S. 63.

According to report, Warren did not yield to Shipley and tried to drive across the U. S. highway when her SUV was struck by Shipley’s vehicle.

The patrol reported that Shipley’s car ended up in in the passing lane of U. S. 63 south while the SUV came to a stop in the crossover.

According to the Patrol, Shipley suffered minor injuries and was taken by an ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment while Warren did not suffer injuries in the crash.

Both Warren and Shipley were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, a report said.

The car sustained moderated damages while the SUV was totaled, as per a report.
