St. Louis City, Missouri (February 8, 2018) – A Florissant woman was hospitalized on Thursday morning following a four-vehicle collision in St. Louis City, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The chain-reaction accident happened at around 9:20 a.m. on Interstate 70 west of Florissant.

Troopers said a 2017 Nissan Altima, driven by Pamela M. Thomas, 30, of Florissant, was traveling westbound on I-70 when it slowed down for traffic ahead and was rear-ended by a 1999 GMC Yuko, driven by Ernest D. Suggs, 47, of Centerville, Ill.

The impact caused the Nissan to strike the back of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Corey E. Browne, 26, of Columbia, Ill.

The Chevrolet, in turn, hit the rear of a 2015 Ford Escape, driven by Madeline L. Kuhne, 74, of St. Louis.

Thomas was the only one hurt in the crash and was treated for minor injuries at Christian Northeast Hospital.

All occupants of the four vehicles were reportedly wearing their safety belts.
