Norman Boxx Killed in Dirt Bike vs. Car Crash on Kell Road in Kell

Kell, Illinois (March 5, 2018) – A 40-year-old Kell man was killed after his dirt bike crashed with a pickup Friday evening in Kell, according to Illinois State Police report.

The deadly collision took place on Friday, March 2, on Kell Road.

According to ISP, a pickup driven by 45-year-old William Jones of Kell was southbound on Kell Road when he started turning left and entered into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into Norman Boxx’ bike.

Boxx was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, where he was declared dead.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Jones was cited for making an improper turn.

An investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
