Multiple Injured in 3-Vehicle Accident on I-74 in Knoxville
Knoxville, Illinois (December 31, 2017) – Multiple injuries were reported in a collision involving three vehicles on Interstate 74 in Knoxville Saturday afternoon.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash happened at around 2:05 p.m. Saturday, December 30 on Interstate 74 at milepost 55.
Police said a red 2000 Ford F-150 pickup was heading west on Interstate 74 when it drifted into the path of eastbound traffic and collided with a white 2015 Buick. After the crash, the Buick was hit by a blue 2010 Honda.
The occupants of the Honda and the Buick were taken to Galesburg and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford truck sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to Peoria.
The crash is under investigation.
