Grundy County, Missouri (February 2, 2018) – A 38-year-old woman was injured in a collision with another vehicle that left the scene after the incident on Friday morning in Grundy County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 11:00 a.m. on Route W, approximately 5 miles southwest of Trenton.

Troopers said Michelle R. Persinger, 38, of Trenton, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus southbound on Route W when she was sideswiped by a northbound vehicle near a hillcrest.

The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.

Persinger was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton with minor injuries.

Her vehicle was driven from the scene with moderate damage.
