Mehmed Pozegic Injured in St. Louis Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 270
St. Louis County, Missouri (February 24, 2018) – A crash involving three vehicles left one person hospitalized early Friday morning in St. Louis County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 12:40 a.m. Friday, February 23, on Interstate 270 north of Missouri Route 30.
According to troopers, a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country was traveling southbound on Interstate 270 when the driver attempted to change lanes and the vehicle struck a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to slide off the left side of the roadway and hit a concrete median, then came to a rest partly blocking lane 1 of the southbound I-270.
A 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Mehmed Pozegic then struck the rear of the Chevrolet.
64-year-old Mehmed of St. Louis was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Anita M. Stephens, 54, of St. Louis and the Chrysler driver, James Winsor, 56, of Ballwin, were not hurt.
The three vehicles were towed from the scene with the Chevrolet and the Toyota sustaining total damage.
