Matthew Branson Injured in Rear-End Crash on US 50 in Osage County

Osage County, Missouri (January 5, 2018) – A man was injured on Thursday evening when his vehicle crashed into the back of another in Osage County.

The accident took place at around 5:53 p.m. Thursday, January 4, on US Highway 50 just west of County Road 602.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Matthew T. Branson, 48, of Linn was driving a 2007 Toyota 4Runner eastbound on US 50 when he failed to reduce his speed and crashed into the back of a 2003 Kenworth that was traveling at a relatively lower speed.

Branson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia.

The driver of the Kenworth, Kevin D. Cook, 48, of Tipton, was not injured in the collision.

Branson’s vehicle was totally damaged and was towed from the scene.

Cook’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
