One Killed in Burr Ridge Two-Truck Accident on I-294
Burr Ridge, Illinois (February 4, 2018) –A 46-year-old man succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, February 1, a day after he was struck by two trucks in Burr Ridge.
The police said that the tragic pedestrian accident occurred at about 10:00 a.m., January 31, on I-294 near Burr Ridge.
As per the report, a man had been driving a Dodge Ram when he hit the guardrail on the right side of the tollway for unknown reasons.
The man exited his vehicle and was crossing the road when he was hit by two trucks, a Freightliner semi-trailer and an international box truck.
Both trucks were traveling north on I-294.
The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to La Grange Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Thursday morning.
The identity of the deceased was not disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
