Male Driver Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at U.S. 50 and Valley Pride Road in Reno County
Reno County, Missouri (December 20, 2017) – An 89-year-old man was killed in a car crash with a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning in Reno County, according to a local news source.
The fatal incident happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday, December 20 at U.S. 50 and Valley Pride Road, about a mile west of South Hutchinson.
As per the article, a 61-year-old Missouri man was driving a tractor-trailer west on U.S. 50 when he struck an eastbound passenger car driven by the 89-year-old Kansas man.
Fire crews had to be called to free the two men as they were trapped in their vehicles.
The passenger car driver died at the scene while the tractor-trailer was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the fatal incident is underway.
