Callaway County, Missouri (February 1, 2018) – A 33-year-old Ashland man was injured when he failed to yield, and his vehicle was struck by another vehicle on Wednesday evening in Callaway County, according to State Troopers.

The incident took place at around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, on Highway 63 at West Outer Road 63.

The report stated that Lucas R. Gilpin was driving a 2006 Acura TL when he failed to yield while crossing the highway and was hit by a 2006 Subaru Legacy, driven by Kevin S. Ashley, 44, of Columbia.

Gilpin was transported by Callaway Ems to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Ashley was not injured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene with total damage.
