Lucas Cravens and Mark Silvia Killed in Crash in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, Missouri (January 11, 2018) – Two people were killed in a crash in Jefferson County Tuesday night, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, Highway 30 near Cedar Hill.

According to police, Lucas Cravens, 23, was driving his Camaro eastbound on Route 30 near Cedar Hill when he lost control and the car crossed the median into the westbound lanes, where an oncoming truck hit his car.

The impact caused the car to catch fire.

Craven and Mark Silvia died at the scene of the crash. They were not wearing their seatbelts and were reportedly ejected from the vehicle.

The truck’s driver suffered moderate injuries and went to the hospital.

As per the report, weather was not suspected to be a factor although the road was a little wet. Cravens was said to have been driving a little too fast around the curve.

The crash remains under investigation.
