Lori Ensley, 47, Injured in Two-Car Crash on US 36 in Monroe City

Monroe City, Missouri (December 14, 2017) – One person was injured in a traffic collision Thursday afternoon in Monroe City, Marion County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

The victim was identified by the MHP as 47-year-old Lori A. Ensley, of Quincy, Illinois.

The incident took place at approximately 2:55 p.m. Thursday, December 14 on U.S. 36 about 6.5 miles east of Monroe City.

The MHP said that Ensley was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer east on US 36 when he slowed for another vehicle. Ensley’s Ford was then struck in the rear by a 2014 Ford Escape driven by 64-year-old Rebecca L. Lafata, of Four Seasons, heading east.

Ensley sustained minor wounds in the incident but declined treatment at the scene.
