At Least One Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on 71 Highway in Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri (December 22, 2017) – At least one person was killed Monday morning in a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Kansas City, according to police.

The incident took place at around 5 a.m. on Monday, December 18, on 71 Highway at 22nd Street.

Police said a wrong-way driver was heading south in the northbound lanes of the highway when the car crashed into three other vehicles.

The wrong-way driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

Two people were rushed to a hospital with minor injuries.

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating the crash.
