Laura Payne and Dalton Sly Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on MO-34 in Silva

Silva, Missouri (December 21, 2017) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon when two vehicles collided in Silva, Wayne County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, on MO-34 at SU-67 north ramp.

According to MSHP traffic incident log, a 2001 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on MO-34 when the driver, identified as Krysten N. Taylor, 16, of Patterson, failed to yield to right of way and pulled into the path of a westbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Laura A. Payne, 47, of Marble Hill.

Payne sustained moderate injuries in the crash while a passenger in Taylor’s Mustang suffered minor injuries.

Both patients were transported by an ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

No additional information regarding the crash was provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
