On Sunday, June 17, two tractor-trailers became involved in a traffic accident on I-70 at milepost 113 in Cumberland county, Illinois. The accident began at approximately 7:45 a.m. when Latina Allen, of Indianapolis, and Surinder Gill, of Fontana, CA, were traveling on I-70. Allen had come to a stop in response to a previous crash along the same stretch of highway, and Gill struck Allen’s trailer from the rear. Allen was injured, and had to be transported to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Gill was cited for failing to respond to road conditions accordingly.
