New Madrid County, Missouri (January 27, 2018) – A New Madrid County vehicle collision sent a Lilbourn man to a hospital on Friday afternoon, according to authorities.

The rear-end accident took place at around 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, on U.S. Highway 61, approximately 2 miles north of New Madrid.

A 2017 Buick Encore was being driven northbound on U.S. 61 by 20-year-old Kaitlyn E. Kimball of New Madrid when she collided with the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 59-year-old Larry J. Mcintosh of Lilbourn, according to troopers.

Mcintosh was wearing a seatbelt and sustained serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene with moderate damage.
