Kimberly Herrell, 34, Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 160 in Christian County

Christian County, Missouri (December 30, 2017) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said one person was injured in a Friday evening crash on US 160 in Christian County.

The multi-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday, December 29 at the intersection of US Highway 160 and Two Rivers Road in Highlandville.

A 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Bryon R. Thompson, 42, of Highlandville, was towing a trailer and a boat when Thompson attempted to make a left turn at the intersection and a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Kimberly A. Herrell, 34, of Nixa, struck the trailer and the boat, troopers said.

The boat got detached from the trailer and collided with a 2017 Toyota Corolla driven by Ethel J. Risner, 86, of Springfield.

A 2006 Nissan SUV driven by Rebecca L. Winter, 46, of Nixa, was hit by the debris from the collision.

Herrell was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Cox South Hospital with moderate injuries.

No further injuries were reported.
