Kevin Dennison Injured in Crash with Kenworth Truck on I-44 in Laclede County

Laclede County, Missouri (January 31, 2018) – A 46-year-old Springfield man was injured when he was distracted by animals and crashed on a Laclede County Road on Tuesday night, MSHP said.

The incident happened at around 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, on Interstate 44 just east of Philipsburg.

Patrol troopers said Kevin D. Dennison, 46, of Springfield, was driving a 2002 Mercedes C Class eastbound on Interstate 44 when he struck animals that were in the middle of the roadway and travelled off the right shoulder of the roadway, where he crashed into a rock bluff.

Dennison then traveled back onto the roadway and collided with an eastbound 2018 Kenworth, driven by Joseph T. Hunt, 49, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Dennison suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.

No other injuries were reported.

Dennison’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing.
