Laclede County, Missouri (January 31, 2018) – A 46-year-old Springfield man was injured when he was distracted by animals and crashed on a Laclede County Road on Tuesday night, MSHP said.

Patrol troopers said Kevin D. Dennison, 46, of Springfield, was driving a 2002 Mercedes C Class eastbound on Interstate 44 when he struck animals that were in the middle of the roadway and travelled off the right shoulder of the roadway, where he crashed into a rock bluff.

Dennison suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.

No other injuries were reported.

Dennison’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing.
