Albany Man Kenneth Gillespie and Union City Woman Hurt in Andrew County Crash on Highway 169 at Avenue City
Kenneth Gillespie, 76, Kaitlyn Vang, 24, Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 169 at Avenue City in Andrew County
Andrew County, Missouri (January 27, 2018) – Two motorists were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Thursday night in Andrew County of northwest Missouri, as per a highway patrol.
The crash took place on Thursday, January 25 on Highway 169 at Avenue City.
According to the highway patrol, 76-year-old Kenneth Gillespie of Albany was driving a van northbound Highway 169 at Avenue City when a southbound car driven by 24-year-old Kaitlyn Z Vang of Union City, attempted to turn onto Route W and failed to yield striking Gillespie vehicle.
After the impact, both vehicles went off the road; the van overturned onto its passenger side.
Gillespie received moderate injuries while Vang had minor injuries and both were transported to Mosiac Life Cafe of St. Joseph.
Vang was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash while Gillespie was not.
