Union Woman Injured in St. Charles County Crash on Interstate 70
St. Charles County, Missouri (December 16, 2017) – A woman sustained injuries in a chain-reaction collision that occurred on Interstate 75 in St. Charles County on Sunday.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said Richard Strubberg, 64, of Union, was sitting in a 2011 Dodge Caliber on the interstate after an earlier crash when a 2011 Toyota Sienna, driven by David Mytyk, 55, of St. Louis, made a stop behind the Dodge.
Troopers said a 2013 Hyundai Accent, driven behind the Toyota by Troy McJessy, 29, of Ballwin, attempted to stop but crashed into the back of the Toyota. The Toyota then struck the back of the Dodge due to the impact of the crash.
Katherine Strubberg, 64, of Union, was a passenger in the Dodge and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles with unknown injuries.
