Jyra Hill, 25, Killed in Pedestrian Collision on U.S. 71 in Kansas City
Kansas City, Missouri (January 29, 2018) – Authorities have identified the woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision in Kansas City Friday afternoon as 25-year-old Jyra D. Hill.
The accident took place at around 11:15 p.m. Friday, January 26, U.S. 71 in Kansa City.
Kansa City Police reported that Hill was walking west to east in the crosswalk at Gregory Boulevard when she was hit by a vehicle driven in the left lane.
Hill died as a result of the incident while the driver of the vehicle fled the accident scene.
The vehicle which struck Hill is a 2012-2015 Chevrolet Equinox.
According to witnesses, the vehicle is either a black or dark blue SUV and possibly has a front-end damage from the accident.
An investigation into the deadly collision remained underway.
