69-Year-Old Yukon Man Joseph Larson Seriously Hurt in Crash on U.S. 63 in Licking
Texas County, Missouri (January 4, 2018) – A 69-year-old Yukon man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after crashing his car into an overturned tractor-trailer Tuesday evening north of Licking, as per a Missouri State Patrol.
The crash took place at about 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, on U.S 63, about 2 miles north of Licking in Texas County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joseph R. Larson, 69, of Yukon, was driving a 2010 Nissan Rogue southbound when it struck a southbound 2016 Freightliner which had rolled over
The Freightliner was driven by 57-year-old Joseph M. McCoy, of Centralia, Illinois and was blocking the highway, the patrol said.
The patrol said Larson was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield following for treatment of serious injuries suffered in the crash while McCoy was not hurt in the crash.
The victim was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash
According to a report, the two vehicles were both totaled.
