St. Louis Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Airport Road
St. Louis, Missouri (January 7, 2018) – A man was hit and killed by a car on Friday evening in St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 6:50 p.m. Friday, January 5, on westbound Airport Road, east of Tyndall Drive.
Troopers said Jose Macias, 63, of St. Louis attempted to cross Airport Road and ran into the path of a 2007 Ford Taurus being driven westbound by Samuel P. Bogan, 51, of Ferguson.
Ems crews transported Macias to SSM Health Depaul Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:22 p.m.
The MSHP is investigating the crash.
