John Hatridge Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Highway 47 in Washington County

Washington County, Missouri (February 16, 2018) – A 78-year-old Richwoods man was hospitalized on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 12:50 p.m. Thursday, February 15, in the 15899 block of West Highway 47.

Troopers said John E. Hatridge was walking on Highway 47 when he stepped across the center line and was struck by a 2006 Ford Escape, driven northbound by Lena I. Wells, 78, of Richwoods.

Hatridge was transported by the Washington County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with moderate injuries.

Wells was wearing a safety belt and was not injured.
