John Hamilton injured in Harrison County crash

On Thursday, September 27, 33-year old John Hamilton of Cainsville, MO, was badly injured in a multi-vehicle accident on I-35, 7 miles north of Bethany in Harrison County.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:20 AM when Andrew Moody, 34, of Holt Summit, MO, failed to yield sending his 2005 Kia Amanti into the rear-end of the 2017 Dodge Ram street Mr. Hamilton was driving at the time of the collision.

Mr. Hamilton was not wearing his safety belt at the time of the collision, and authorities are investigating whether or not this may have contributed to the extent of Mr. Hamilton’s injuries.

According to the official crash report Mr. Hamilton suffered serious, life threatening, injury and had to be rushed to the Harrison County Commuter Center via local EMS before being transported via helicopter to Truman Hospital for emergency medical intervention. Mr. Moody was unharmed in the incident.

Both cars suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the crash site.

No other parties were injured in the accident.
