Jeffrey Weinzerl, 30, Seriously Injured in Truck Crash on Interstate 70 in St. Louis County
St. Louis County, Missouri (December 14, 2017) – A male driver was seriously injured in a truck crash Wednesday morning in St. Louis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The man was identified by the MHP as 30-year-old Jeffrey Weinzerl from O’Fallon.
The collision occurred at around 10:42 a.m. Wednesday, December 13 at the Interstate 70/270 interchange.
Police officers said that Weinzerl was driving a 2016 Hino west on Interstate 70 when he collided with the back of a 1998 Freightliner which was stopped in the roadway due to mechanical issues.
Weinzerl was shuttled to Mercy Hospital by Pattonville EMS.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
