Two Hospitalized after Golden Belt Road Car Crash in Lafayette County
Jacob Bane and Jonathan Arnold Injured in Head-On Crash on Golden Belt Road in Lafayette
Lafayette County, Missouri (January 13, 2018) – Two people were injured on Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash involving two vehicles in Lafayette County.
According to MSHP, the accident took place at the intersection of Golden Belt Road and Cheatham Road at around 3:11 p.m. Thursday, January 11.
Troopers said Jacob Bane, 18, of Bates City was the driver of a 2007 Kia Sorento traveling westbound on Golden Belt Road when he lost control and crossed into the path of oncoming traffic.
The Kia collided head-on with a 2011 Ford driven by Jonathan W. Arnold, 30, of Greenwood.
Bane was transported to CenterPoint with serious injuries.
Arnold sustained injuries but refused medication.
