On April 10th at approximately 10 am, Heather R. Mini, 25, of Imperial, MO, and Keith A. Smith, 38, of O’Fallon, IL, were injured on Old Highway M, near Catlin Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mr. Smith had his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pulled onto the shoulder of the road. Once he began attempting to re-enter the flow of traffic, he was struck from behind by Ms. Mini’s Chevrolet Cruze. Ms. Mini reported to authorities that she did not have time to break before colliding with Mr. Smith’s vehicle. Both drivers sustained moderate injuries, and were transported to local hospitals by the Rock Township emergency medical service. Both were later released.
