Gregory A. Burken injured in Jasper County crash

At approximately 7:40 am on Wednesday, June 6, Gregory A. Burken, 59, of Carthage, was injured in a multi-car accident on Newton Road just south of Diamond. The accident began when an SUV operated by Walter Wallace, 43, of Webb City failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Mr. Burken’s vehicle as it passed through the intersection. According to the official crash report, Mr. Burken suffered moderate injuries and had to be transported via EMS to Mercy Hospital for further treatment. Mr. Wallace was unharmed. Mr. Burken was wearing his safety belt at the time of the incident.
