On Tuesday, September 4, 68-year old Gary Greer of Standberry, MO, was killed in a multi-vehicle traffic accident on Route AF, 3 miles north east of Clyde in Nodaway County. Donna Millbern, the driver of the car Mr. Greer was riding, also suffered injury, as did Lillian and Michelle Latour, both occupants of the offending vehicle.
The accident began at approximately 7:00 PM, when the 2017 KIA Sportage driven by Ms. Latour, 28, of Conception Junction, struck the 1995 Plymouth Voyager Mr. Greer was travelling in. The collision occurred after Ms. Latour apparently lost control of her car, causing it to move from their lane of travel and into Mr. Greer’s.
Unfortunately, Mr. Greer was later declared deceased by medical personnel at Mosaic Life Care hospital. Michelle and Lillian Latour, and Ms. Millbern, all had to be transported to St. Francis hospital for further observation and treatment. Ms. Millbern, 63, of Gentry, MO, suffered serious injuries and had to be admitted for life-saving medical intervention.
Both vehicles were totaled, and had to be towed from the scene.
