Car Crash Injures Garett Green on Missouri 5 in Chariton County
Chariton County, Missouri (January 30, 2018) – A Sunday afternoon car crash on Missouri 5 left a teenage Salisbury driver hospitalized in Chariton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 1:05 p.m. Sunday, January 28, on MO-5 just south of US-24 near Salisbury.
The accident occurred when a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on MO-5 crossed the centerline at a hill crest and collided with a northbound 2006 Ford Escape.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 17-year-old Garett A. Green of Salisbury, was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene with total damage.
