Gabriella Waltz Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-70 in Vigo County
Vigo County, Illinois (February 6, 2018) – According to a local news source, an 18-year-old girl was injured in an alleged hit-and-run car accident in Vigo County on Saturday night.
The crash occurred at around 11:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70, near exit 11.
As per the report, 28-year-old Harjot Singh of Alberta, Canada, was driving a truck behind a van on Interstate 70.
Singh reportedly rear-ended the van as it slowed down near the exit.
Waltz was transported to the hospital for head, neck and internal injuries, officials said.
Singh is said to have fled the scene of the accident but was later located and arrested in Putman County.
An investigation is ongoing.
