Frank Rentz, 58, Seriously Injured in Crash on I-270 at 15 Miler Marker

St. Louis County, Missouri (January 5, 2018) – One person was seriously injured early Friday morning following a two-vehicle crash on I-270 in St. Louis County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at about 12:45 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 270 at the 15 Mile Marker.

According to the MSHP, a 2017 Nissan Titan, driven by Frank Rentz, 58, of St. Louis, was stalled in the lanes of the freeway due to a previous accident and was struck by a 2007 Hino 268A driven by Roger R. Reed.

Rentz sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported by Creve Coeur Fire to SSM Health DePaul Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
