Four Missouri teens–Dickens, Moore, Cain, and Johnston–all seriously injured in St. Francois County crash

On Saturday, September 8, 17-year old Molly Moore and 17-year old Trenton Cain were both involved in a multi-vehicle accident on Route K, east of 10th Street, in St. Francois county. 15-year old Cheyenne Dickens was riding as a passenger of Ms. Moore, and 17-year old Morgan Johnston was riding as a passenger of Mr. Cain. Both passengers also suffered significant injury in the crash.

The accident occurred at approximately 11 PM when Ms. Moore apparently lost control of the Chrysler PT Cruiser  she was driving, causing it to cross the center-line where it struck Mr. Cain’s vehicle head on.

According to the official crash report, Dickens, Moore, Cain, and Johnston all suffered serious, life-threatening, injury and all had to be rushed by ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for life saving medical intervention. All parties were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash, and authorities believe had any of the teens failed to do so they may not have survived the crash.

No other drivers or occupants were injured in the accident.
