According to the authorities, a FedEx worker died after being pinned by his delivery vehicle outside Kansas City. His name has not yet been released.
The accident occurred on Friday just outside of Parkville, according to a report by the Kansas City Star.
The incident was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 18000 block of Amber Court, just outside of Parkville.
The incident is still under investigation. FedEx said that it was cooperating with authorities to investigate the case.
According to preliminary reports, the worker was outside of his delivery vehicle at a residence when it rolled and hit him. Authorities approached the accident spot and found the worker pinned between the vehicle and a house.
No other details of the incident were immediately available and the reason of the accident was also not known by the investigators.
FedEx issued the following written statement in response to the worker’s death:
“First and foremost, our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to the friends and family of the driver in yesterday’s accident. We are cooperating fully with authorities during their investigation but have no further information at this time”.
