Elizabeth Jennings and Jamie Marmalejo and Injured in 2-Car Crash on 63 Highway at Peabody Road in Boone County
Boone County, Missouri (December 28, 2017) — Two Columbia residents were sent to a hospital following a rollover crash Monday night in Boone County, Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. Monday, on southbound 63 Highway at Peabody Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report said that Elizabeth M. Jennings, 22, of Columbia was driving a vehicle south on 63 when she sideswiped another car driven by 23-year-old Caleb R. Wilfong, of Kansas City.
After the impact, Jennings’ car went off the left side of the road, crossed the northbound lanes, and then proceeded down an embankment eventually rolling over.
Authorities said Jennings and Jamie L. Marmalejo, 22, who was a passenger in Jennings car, were to University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in the crash. Both victims are Columbia resident, a per the report.
