At 7 pm on Wednesday, June 6, Edward E. Mezo, 48, of Cadet, MO, was badly inured in a motorcycle accident on Missouri Route 21 at Dugout Road. The incident began at approximately 7 pm when a vehicle driven by Adeline Johnson, 18, of De Soto attempted to make a left hand turn onto MO-21 from Dugout Road. Mr. Mezo, who was riding a motorcycle in the adjoining lane, struck the side of Ms. Johnson’s vehicle and was thrown from the bike. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Mr. Mezo suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to St. Anthony’s Medical center for treatment. Ms. Johnson was unharmed and released at the scene.
