Dillon Watson and Two Other Pedestrians Hurt in Jefferson County Car Wreck on U.S. Highway 61
Jefferson County, Missouri (February 14, 2018) – Three pedestrians were injured in a collision involving three vehicles on Tuesday evening in Jefferson County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 13 on U.S. 61 at East Miller Road.
Troopers reported that John L. Burgan, 37, of Imperial, was sitting in a 2006 Ford F-150 in a driveway of 4212 U.S. 61 when he began crossing the highway and entered into the path of a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, driven southbound by Nathan A. Wisdom, 62, of Arnold.
Wisdom drifted leftwards in an attempt to avoid the Ford but ended up colliding with a 1996 Dodge Dakota that was stopped facing eastbound on East Miller Road at the intersection of U.S. 61.
The impact pushed the Chevrolet off the east side of the roadway into the driveway where it collided with the Ford and continued traveling south off the east side of U.S 61.
The Chevrolet struck several pedestrians who were walking at the side of the road.
Dillon L. Watson, 27, of Hillsboro was among the pedestrians struck and was rushed to St. Anthony’s Medical Center with moderate injuries. Two other pedestrians, Madisen C. Watson, 27, and Natalee Watson, 4, all of Hillsboro, were taken to St. Anthony’s with minor injuries.
No one else was hurt in the accident.
