Dee Schirlls Seriously Injured in Crash with Semi on I-49 in Cass County

Cass County, Missouri (January 15, 2018) – A collision with a semi-truck early Thursday morning sent a 63-year-old woman to a hospital with serious injuries in Cass County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place at around 5:58 a.m. Thursday, January 11, on Interstate 49 at Mile Marker 163.4.

The report indicated that a 2016 Freightliner was traveling northbound on I-49 when the driver, Robert W. Crust, 43, of Adrian, attempted to turn left into an emergency crossover and was rear-ended by a 2005 Chevrolet.

Dee A. Schirlls, 63, of Harrisonville, was behind the wheels of the Chevrolet and was rushed to Research Medical with serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
