On Monday, October 1, David Bell and Holly Ames were both injured in a multi-car accident on Old Highway 8 at the Hopewell Road intersection in Washington County.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:15 PM when Ms. Ames failed to yield and struck Mr. Bell head on as he attempted to execute a turn.
According to the official crash report Ms. Ames suffered serious, life threatening injury, and had to be rushed to Washington County Memorial Hospital via the Washington County ambulance service. Mr. Bell suffered moderate injuries and also had to be transported to Mercy Hospital South for further observation and treatment.
No other parties were injured in the collision.
