Darrell Bryant, 77, Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Glenstone Avenue in Springfield
Springfield, Missouri (December 22, 2017) – A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a truck Friday morning in Springfield.
According to Springfield Police Department, Darrell Bryant, 77, of Springfield, was injured in the crash that happened at around 6:40 a.m. on Glenstone Avenue, in front of McDonald’s.
Police said Elvin Abney, 56, of Springfield drove a Honda Ridgeline out of a McDonald’s driveway and was turning onto North Glenstone Avenue when the vehicle struck the victim.
Bryant sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital.
Police said the scene was dark at the time of the crash and the victim was not hit at a crosswalk.
