Daniel Yates, 68, Larry Gilmore, 66, Jack Gilmore,15, David Pulley, 32, Injured in Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Route U in Iron County

Iron County, Missouri (December 29, 2017) – Three people were injured following a collision in Iron County Wednesday evening, police said.

The incident happened at about 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, on Route U, five miles north of Pilot Knob.

According to a report from the Missouri State Patrol, 68-year-old Daniel Yates, of Belleview, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu east on Route U, five miles north of Pilot Knob when his car hit a 1997 Ford F-350 that was pulled over in the roadway and had no one inside. The collision caused the Ford to struck two pedestrians, 15-year-old Jack Gilmore, and 66-year-old Larry Gilmore, both of Ironton.

Police said Yates, the pedestrians, and David Pulley, 32, of Ironton, a passenger in Yates’ car, all suffered minor injuries in the wreck.

A report said Jack Gilmore, Larry Gilmore and Pulley were transported by an ambulance to Iron County Medical Center for treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled, a report said.
